What is Leadership Brainery?

Leadership Brainery (LB) is a pipeline organization created to increase the number of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) and low-income college students prepared to access postgraduate education and high-wage careers.

Many critical careers that influence systemic change, such as lawyers, health care professionals, and educators, require postgraduate degrees. Jobs that require a master's degree or higher at entry-level are projected to be the fastest-growing segment of the workforce between 2014 and 2024. To access postgraduate education, students must receive a high school diploma, a bachelor's degree, and then have the financial resources and time to complete postgraduate school. For BIPOC and low-income students, the journey to accessing postgraduate education remains far out of reach. According to the Council of Graduate Schools, Black students still represent less than 6 percent of incoming master's and doctoral students at competitive universities.

We are asking a few of our key partners to rally their friends, family, and networks to support our work. By becoming a fundraiser for Leadership Brainery, you will help more diverse and first-generation college students attend postgraduate school and access high-wage careers, and you'll help your friends feel good about doing good.

Starting a fundraiser is easy to do, and it's fun. We'll even give you all the tools you'll need to make a difference. With your help, we can generate more inclusive perspectives in our country's workforce leadership -- leading to more equitable systemic change and investment back into BIPOC and low-income communities..
